When we opened The Remontant, our dream was never to create just another candle shop.

We wanted to create experiences.

Places where people could slow down, create something with their own hands, and leave with more than just a product.

That's why we opened Kirkland's first candle bar.

And today, we're so excited to share the next chapter.

The Remontant is now home to Kirkland's first perfume bar.

More Than Just a Bottle of Perfume

Walk into almost any store and you'll find shelves lined with perfumes.

You spray one.

Maybe you like it.

Maybe you don't.

Then you move on to the next bottle.

We wanted something different.

We wanted to create an experience where fragrance wasn't something you simply bought.

It was something you created.

Why I Wanted to Build This

Honestly... this experience means so much more to me than just opening Kirkland's first perfume bar.

A few years ago, I was largely bedbound with dysautonomia, and during one of the hardest seasons of my life, scent honestly saved me.

It became my escape.

My creativity.

My way of expressing myself.

That's why I started The Remontant.

And that's why I wanted to create both our candle-making classes and now our perfume bar.

Not because I wanted people to just leave with a candle or a bottle of perfume.

I wanted them to experience what I experienced.

To slow down for a little while.

To create something that's completely their own.

To make memories they'll think about every time they smell that scent again.

One of my favorite parts of opening the perfume bar has been seeing who walks through our doors.

We've welcomed couples celebrating date nights.

Anniversary celebrations.

Birthday parties.

Friends who simply wanted to spend an afternoon creating together.

And, of course, fellow fragrance lovers who have always dreamed of making their own perfume.

Watching someone smell a fragrance and suddenly smile because it reminds them of a memory...

Or seeing friends compare their perfumes at the end and realize every single bottle is completely different...

Those moments never get old.

It's honestly been even more special than I imagined.

A New Creative Experience in Downtown Kirkland

When we first pitched The Remontant at the Kirkland Pitch Competition in 2025, we were pitching our vision of opening our first storefront and creating what would become Kirkland's first candle bar.

This year, we returned to pitch another dream.

Creating Kirkland's first perfume bar.

Looking back now, it's kind of surreal.

The dreams we once pitched have become reality.

Today, we're proud to be home to both Kirkland's first candle bar and Kirkland's first perfume bar.

This Is Only the Beginning

Opening the perfume bar isn't the finish line.

It's just the beginning.

We're excited to continue introducing new fragrance materials, seasonal scent collections, workshops, and experiences that bring people together through creativity and scent.
