Pick Your Pumpkin: Oversized Candle-Making Classes in Kirkland This September
Fall is getting a little bigger—and much cozier—at The Remontant.
Every Saturday in September, we’re hosting Pick Your Pumpkin, a limited-edition candle-making experience in our Downtown Kirkland studio. During this seasonal workshop, each guest will create an oversized 14 oz pumpkin candle, choose a vessel from our pumpkin collection, and pair it with a fragrance from our fall scent menu.
These candles are nearly twice the size of the candles offered in our standard candle-making experience. They are designed to become both a cozy seasonal fragrance and a statement piece for your fall décor.

Meet the oversized pumpkins
The star of this workshop is the decorative glass pumpkin vessel. Each ribbed pumpkin includes a coordinating stem lid and holds approximately 14 oz of soy-coconut wax.
Guests can choose from three seasonal styles, subject to availability:

Midnight Magic — Black: glossy, dramatic, and perfect for a moody fall aesthetic.

Cinderella’s Carriage — Clear: luminous and elegant, with the candle color visible through the glass.

Jack-O’-Lantern — Orange: a bright, classic pumpkin made for harvest-season decorating.
Because quantities are limited, some pumpkin colors may sell out before the workshop does. We recommend reserving early if you have your heart set on a particular style.

What should an oversized pumpkin candle smell like? That part is up to you.
Our fall fragrance menu will be available during the workshop, featuring seasonal favorites such as Pumpkin Spice, Cinnamon, and Sweet Pine, along with additional scents from The Remontant’s fragrance library. Whether your ideal autumn feels warm and spiced, fresh and woodsy, or soft and comforting, you’ll be able to choose a fragrance that suits your space and your memories of the season.
Guests will have an opportunity to experience the fragrances before selecting the scent for their candle. Fall fragrance availability may vary by session.
What to expect during the workshop
Pick Your Pumpkin is designed to be creative, relaxed, and beginner-friendly. No previous candle-making experience is required.
During the class, you will:
- Select your pumpkin vessel from the available colors.
- Explore our fall and signature fragrance menu.
- Choose a fragrance for your candle.
- Learn the art and science behind candle making.
- Prepare and pour an oversized, double-wick candle using approximately 14 oz of soy-coconut wax.
- Learn essential candle-care and burn-safety tips.
All candle-making materials are included. The experience is a cozy choice for a fall date, an afternoon with friends, a birthday outing, or a creative solo activity near the Kirkland waterfront.
Why your pumpkin candle requires pickup
An oversized candle needs more time to cool and set than a standard candle. To protect the finish and give your candle the best possible start, pumpkin candles cannot be taken home immediately after the workshop.
Your completed candle will remain at The Remontant to cool and will be available for pickup beginning on the date provided during your class. The decorative stem lid rests gently on top rather than forming a tight seal, so please transport your finished candle upright and support it from the bottom.
