We had the opportunity to bring a piece of our Downtown Kirkland fragrance studio to the show and share the creativity, fragrance, and joy behind our custom candle-making experience with viewers throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Appearing on the show was an unforgettable milestone for The Remontant—and an experience that took us a little outside our comfort zone.
From Pre-Show Nerves to an Experience We Loved
We’ll be honest: right before the segment began, we were incredibly nervous. Being in front of the cameras was a new experience, and there were definitely plenty of butterflies as we waited for everything to begin.
But once we started creating and talking about fragrance, everything seemed to fall perfectly into place. The nerves began to fade, we settled into the moment, and we ended up loving the entire experience.

Experience Candle Making at The Remontant
The Remontant offers immersive, hands-on candle-making classes in Kirkland in an intimate, small-group setting designed to feel relaxed, creative, and social.
Our workshops offer an eco-luxe twist on traditional candle making. Guests are guided through the art and science of creating a candle while exploring the connection between scent, mood, and memory.
Depending on the experience you choose, you can select a fragrance from The Remontant’s signature scent library or learn how to combine fragrance notes to create a more personalized blend.
During your candle-making experience, you may:

- Choose or blend a signature scent
- Select your candle vessel
- Learn about fragrance notes and scent composition
- Pour your own custom candle
- Work with a crackling wooden wick
- Learn essential candle-care techniques
- Create a personalized candle name and label

No previous candle-making experience is necessary. All materials are provided, and our team will guide you through each part of the process.

Candle-making experiences range from approximately 1.5 to three hours, depending on the selected experience and group size. Your candle will be ready to take home after the class.
Reservations are recommended, especially for groups of more than two. Same-day drop-ins may be accommodated when space is available.
Walk-ins are always welcome for retail shopping. While visiting, you can explore our signature candles, body and linen mists, incense, wax melts, fragrance gifts, self-care goods, and products from local Pacific Northwest makers.
